Jonathan M. Palma

Jonathan M. Palma, Esq.

Managing Partner and Founder of Palma Law Group, P.A., Jonathan M. Palma received his Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance from the University of Florida, and his Juris Doctorate Degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. Mr. Palma is an experienced litigation attorney who has focused his legal career towards representing and protecting the rights of individuals.
Mr. Palma provides representation to individuals, and their family members, involved in automobile accidents and motor cycle accidents, resulting in personal injuries, including traumatic brain injury and death. In 2012 Mr. Palma was part of a legal team which successfully procured a multi-million dollar award for a young woman who had suffered an extensive brain injury in a motor vehicle accident in which the at fault driver’s insurance company originally fought and denied all liability for the accident. In 2013 Mr. Palma brought a successful wrongful death claim against the City of St. Petersburg after an on-duty police officer ran over and killed a pedestrian while operating his patrol car.
In addition to Mr. Palma personal injury practice, Jonathan is a licensed title agent and member of the Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund “The Fund” which is an organization whose membership is reserved exclusively for licensed Florida Bar attorneys. Mr. Palma also oversees all day to day operations and transactions of the Title, Escrow and Closing clients of the law firm as well as negotiates our client’s short sale contracts with lenders to insure our client’s legal rights are protected during each short sale transaction
Mr. Palma is a member of the Florida Bar,Real Property and Probate section of the Florida Bar, Bay Area Real Estate Council and a Major Affiliate Sponsor of the Pinellas Realtor Organization. Mr. Palma is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Alexis M. Palma

Alexis M. Palma, Esq.

Alexis M. Palma graduated Stetson University College of Law in December 2004 and received a Certificate of Concentration in Trial Advocacy. Mrs. Palma received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ithaca College in New York in May 2001.
Mrs. Palma joined the firm in 2006. Mrs. Palma’s trial experience includes over 15 jury trials and 15 bench trials. Mrs. Palma now concentrates in the areas of Foreclosure Defense, Bankruptcy, Real Estate and Business Litigation. Most notably, Mrs. Palma played an instrumental role in the acquittal of a pro bono client accused of Murder in the second degree punishable by life in prison.
In the areas of real estate and business litigation, Mrs. Palma has personally handled, both as plaintiff and defense counsel, claims for Account Stated, Breach of Contract, Breach of Warranty, Constructive Trust, Fraud, Injunctions, Malicious Prosecution, Mortgage Foreclosure, Open Account, Racketeering (RICO), Securities Fraud, Unfair Deceptive Trade Practices and Worthless Checks.

Amanda K. Hersem, Esq.

Amanda K. Hersem, Esq., received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida and her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. Her passion for and experience in the real estate industry began in 2003, starting as a processor in her family’s title companies and working her way up to closing transactions and handling real estate legal matters as an attorney. She maintains a wealth of industry knowledge from her several years’ experience as a title claims, curative, and underwriting attorney with a large multistate firm that represents major lending institutions. Amanda has been published in Thomson Reuters regarding current real estate law matters in Florida courts. Ms. Hersem is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Amanda is a licensed title agent and member of the Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund “The Fund” which is an organization whose membership is reserved exclusively for licensed Florida Bar attorneys. Ms. Hersem is also a member of the Real Property and Probate section of the Florida Bar and a member of the Bay Area Real Estate Council. Additionally, Ms. Hersem is a notary public.
